Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, the magical mitigation for Climate Change
Faustine Mwikali was trained on FMNR, and she applied it on her farm. The change is astounding.
With Mwikali’s inspiration, the community has established 14 acres of fodder grass. The farmers now have fodder for their livestock, and are generating income from sale of grass and seedlings.
Among the trees preserved through Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, Mwikali and other farmers are now keeping bees and harvesting honey.
FMNR is transforming lives in Kitui County.
The Nature Positive project is an initiative of the NCCK with support from the Canadian Food Grains Bank (CFGB) through the United Church of Canada (UCC).
