Strategic Focus

Dignified Livelihoods, Resilient Communities (Gal. 6:9)

OUR PRIORITY

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has aligned its strategic plans with Kenya's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda and Vision 2030 to empower individuals at grassroots levels to stimulate economic and social growth. As a result, the following are our priority areas to realize a holistic transformation of lives for a just, resilient, and sustainable society.

Dignified Livelihoods & Capacity Development

To empower youth for socio-political and economic engagement; strengthen the capacities and capabilities of NCCK membership to effectively promote holistic church and community transformation; and promote resilient families by 2028

Governance, Devolution, Peace and Cohesion

To strengthen institutions and empower communities for democratic, participatory, accountable, and transparent governance; promote dialogue and mediation for peaceful coexistence, national cohesion, tolerance, and enhanced security; strengthen devolution for improved service delivery; and influence formulation, reform, and implementation of policies and laws to promote justice, rule of law, and constitutionalism.

Climate Change, Food Security & Natural Resources Management

To contribute to enhanced nature-based climate change governance, adaptation, and mitigation; contribute to increased agricultural productivity and improved food security; and empower local communities for sustainable engagement in and advocacy for justice in the exploitation of natural resources.

Education and Health

To influence policy formulation and implementation of initiatives that promote retention and access to quality, relevant, and affordable value-based basic, tertiary, and technical education; and promote accessible healthcare and the wellness of community members with an emphasis of children, adolescents, PWDs, women, the elderly, and refugees.
