NCCK Welcomes 2025/26 Interns

The NCCK has warmly welcomed the 2025/26 interns as the recruitment process, carried out in partnership with FOCUS (Fellowship of Christian Unions), came to a conclusion.

“I confirm that you will be stretched, you will experience discomfort, and some deep friendships too,” Pst Sussie Ndanyi, the Deputy General Secretary, alerted the interns during the commissioning ceremony.

She encouraged them to seek opportunities to serve and to thrive within the Council. “We too want to be challenged by the energy and fresh perspectives you bring,” she pointed.

The DGS adviced the interns to be grounded on spiritual formation and character development during their one year tenure.

On his part, Rev Simon Kande, the National Director of FOCUS, encouraged the young persons to strive for excellence in their lives and work.

“King Darious looked at the manner in which Daniel worked and decided to make him the top-most leader in the Medo-Persian kingdom”, Rev Kande pointed out, adding, “similarly, you must work in such a way that your work speaks for you”.

At the conclusion of the induction, the interns were posted to the Regions where they will apprentice under Regional Managers.

The 2025/26 interns cohort comprises of Lillian Juma (Lower Eastern), Ayubu Ratiala (South Rift), Brian Otuya (North Rift), Lillian Mwikali (Lower Eastern), Edwina Abuya (North Rift), Esther Mwende (Nairobi), Faith Owino (Nairobi), Patricia Kanyi (Upper Eastern) and Joy Makandi (Lower Eastern).
