Invitation for Environmental Impact Assessment

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) invites proposals from eligible, experienced, and competent environmental consultancy firms to provide Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services for the desilting of earth dams at Kwa Thoka and Kwa Siala, Kitui South Sub-County, Kitui County under the Nature Positive Food System Project.

Scope of Services

  • Conducting site visits and baseline studies for both dam sites.
  • Preparing a comprehensive EIA Study Report and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
  • Organizing and facilitating inclusive public participation meetings with communities and local leaders.
  • Submitting the report to NEMA and managing all liaison activities until the EIA license is granted.

Requirements

  • Experience in similar environmental and social assessments, preferably in water resources and dam desilting projects.
  • Professional qualifications and a team capable of delivering all aspects of the EIA as outlined in the TOR.
  • NEMA registration and licenses for environmental consultancy services.
