Capabilities / Approaches

Public Education and Awareness

NCCK leverages of her grassroots reach empowering church leaders and equipping them with sermon guides for them to educate communities through the pulpit and church platforms thus promoting health and well-being.

Stakeholder engagement

NCCK has convening power due to her grassroots structure and network. Making it possible to hold dialogue with communities at local, county and national level to identify needs, gaps and community led actions/initiatives that promote accessible healthcare and wellness of community members.

Policy Advocacy

NCCK works with government agencies at National and County level to influence policy formulation, implementation and /or budget allocation for quality service delivery. This includes pushing for policies that promote healthy eating in the food environment space, accessible, affordable healthcare and well-being of people and affordable value based basic, tertiary and technical colleges in the Education space.

Community Empowerment

Empower vulnerable households with women, person with disability and youth by mobilizing them into self- help groups. NCCK then facilitates capacity building on group dynamics, leadership skills as well as financial inclusion through savings and loan concept. This enables the members of the SHGs to build their capital base where they are able to access loans and basic needs for their families.

Media engagement for public awareness

NCCK uses media (radio, TV, social media, and community outreach) to educate the public about health and well-being and creating demand and push for policy implementation.

Service Delivery to special groups

The NCCK offers medical care to persons of concerns/refugees by providing primary, secondary and tertiary/specialized care to refugees seeking treatment in urban centers. The NCCK offers Education support to children from bright and needy families by paying partial fees in secondary school level. This increases retention and transition of learners from secondary school to colleges and universities.
