Offer Solutions, Youth Advised

Young people attending the National Youth Convening 2025 have been guided to focus on defining their purpose, mapping their strategies, and gaining the necessary skills.

“People who know their ‘why” tend to excel because their motivation drives exceptional results”, explained Jamal Rukiya from Swahilipot Hub Foundation.

Rukiya inspired the young people to make use of self discovery tools such as Johari’s Window and Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle for self discovery. Such self awareness, she pointed out, is necessary for a successful career whether one is in salaried employment or in entrepreneurship.

Couple with this, the young people learnt, is the need for meaningful and beneficial relationships build through deliberate and targeted networking.

“The world pays for value, not noise. Learn to solve real problems, and your work will speak for itself”, Rukiya counseled the young people.

More than 160 young people participated in the 3-day National Youth Convening 2025 organized by the NCCK. The Convening brought together youth leaders from 44 counties, and was based on the theme “Faith, Governance and Tech”.
